BUT I LOVE YOU

At the drop of a hat I burned the midnight oil

The ball’s in your count, but I know

We’d be heading to the drawing board again

But, but I love you.

When the cold night gives way

To a beautiful bright morning

And the sun shines down to greet you

You’d probably be reading this

But you’d take it with a grain of salt

And you’d sit on the fence again

I’m off my rocker I guess

But, but I love you
